Zain Mikho
As the Founder & Managing Principal of Woodward Capital Partners (WCP), Zain sets the firm’s strategic direction, oversees operations and manages relationships with investors and development partners. He is also actively involved in the firm’s advisory work, typically involving challenging projects with complex capital stacks. His belief in, and vision for Detroit result from his appreciation for the city’s heritage and his experience advising on real estate assets globally.
Prior to founding WCP, Zain served as Private Banker to high and ultra-high net-worth individuals and families at JP Morgan Private Bank in New York City. His clients included entrepreneurs, leaders of industry and prominent New York real estate families. Prior to joining JP Morgan, he was a Vice President at Bernstein Global Wealth Management, where he advised high-net-worth clients and ultimately guided them through the Credit Crisis, which proved to be the deepest recession in a lifetime. It was an experience that earned him trust and credibility and solidified his relationships with clients. Throughout his career in finance, Mr. Mikho managed over $1 Billion in client assets.
Zain is passionate for the built environment. His career in banking has earned him the trust of investors and Private Equity funds necessary to pursue sizeable urban development projects in Detroit.
Mr. Mikho has earned a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from Michigan State University.
Gabe Randall - Development Advisor
Gabe Randall works for the Howard Hughes Corporation, a publicly traded developer in New York City, where he is responsible for overseeing development of the Fulton Market Building and Tin Building as part of the $780M Seaport District re-development. Prior to his role on the Seaport project, Gabe worked for Howard Hughes in Los Angeles, where he was responsible for feasibility analysis and underwriting of the company's strategic developments.
Gabe's past experience includes work for an apartment fund in Los Angeles, where he was directly involved in the roles of acquisitions, asset management and construction for a $1 billion portfolio of rental apartments. Prior to this, Gabe worked as an owner’s representative for build to suit office and industrial projects in Los Angeles, where he oversaw design and construction.
Gabe earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Construction Management from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. He is a member of the New York Building Congress where he sits on the Young Professionals Steering Committee, and an active member of the Urban Land Institute, where he served as Chair of the Partnership Forum Group in Los Angeles from 2011 to 2013.
